Dabota Lawson Set to Launch Her Own Retail Stores in Lagos

Dabota Lawson has announced her biggest business move yet.

Yesterday, the former beauty queen took to her Instagram to reveal that she is set to launch her first ever mall in the highbrow area of Lagos – a dream she still can’t believe has become a reality.

“I’m almost done can’t wait for it to be finished . Admiralty way, Lekki 1 …. from my bed room, to a small kiosk to owning the damn mall,” said the excited mum of one, adding, “God is good.”

This heartwarming announcement comes just a week after the ex beauty queen took to her social media to reveal her struggles after she made the bold move of filing to dissolve her marriage to the billionaire businessman, Sunny Aku.

Dabota Lawson filed for divorce in February 2016 on grounds that Aku was still legally married to his first wife. However, rumours alleged that she suffered domestic abuse and had fled in fear for her own life.

It has been more than a year since that separation, and the former queen keeps waxing stronger. Speaking on her SnapChat last week, she said her ex-husband had expected her to come back to him, grovelling.

“I remember when he told his friends ‘Don’t worry she only has X amount in her account, she’ll soon go broke and come back begging’. Some believed and started telling me to go and beg now before it’s too late,” the mum of one daughter said in the emotional rant.

“God has compensated me,” she added. “He wiped my tears and answered my prayers. Now I have the most wonderful man by my side and the most beautiful daughter.”

Now, Dabota Lawson is gearing to launch her own Lagos mall in the highbrow part of the city, and she has shared the first clip of the place.
