EFCC Charges Students to Imbibe Culture of Integrity

The acting Zonal Director of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Michael T. Wetkas, has urged Nigerian students to imbibe the culture of integrity and shun internet fraud.

Wetkas gave the charge onTuesday, , June 25, 2024, while addressing students of St. Joseph Secondary School, Mangoro, Agege, Lagos, who visited the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Command to familiarize themselves with the Commission’s activities.

He emphasized that involvement in cybercrime posed a threat to their future.

Wetkas further urged the students to shun examination malpractices, adding that “ you must be whistleblowers and active anti-corruption advocates in your schools and communities. You must always speak out against any wrongdoing wherever you are.”

The event featured a debate involving some of the students who spoke on the evils of corruption and internet fraud.
