The Sokoto Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has called on politicians and electorates to shun vote buying ahead of the Supplementary/rerun elections in some areas of Sokoto state today.

The Sokoto Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has called on politicians and electorates to shun vote buying ahead of the Supplementary/rerun elections in some areas of Sokoto state today.

Addressing newsmen ahead of the Sokoto Supplementary/rerun elections slated for Saturday, 25 January, 2020, the Zonal Head, Abdullahi Lawal said, the operatives of the Commission are fully on ground to ensure that those preparing to buy or sell votes are apprehended and prosecuted adequately.

“Let me tell you buying and selling of votes are serious financial crimes he added.
