Emirates Passenger Plane Crash Lands at Dubai Airport, 300 On Board

BBC reports that an Emirates airline flight from India has crash-landed at Dubai International Airport with almost 300 people on board.

The Emirates plane crash landed this morning as a result of the landing gear of the plane not coming down fully prior to touching down the airport runway.

Dramatic footage shows the aircraft exploding in a fireball on the runway, with the force of the blast throwing a huge metal panel from the plane into the air.

The Dubai government media office said on its Twitter account that all passengers were evacuated safely and no injuries have been reported so far. The Boeing 777 was reportedly flying from the Indian city of Trivandrum to Dubai.

The live air traffic monitor Flightradar24 said takeoffs and landings at the airport had been temporarily suspended because of the incident.
