Falcons Star Oshoala Becomes Emzor Brand Ambassador
Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, has signed an endorsement deal with Nigeria’s foremost indigenous pharmaceutical company, Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, to become their brand ambassador.
Emzor, the Official Paracetamol of the national teams for the past three years, adds Oshoala to their growing brand that already includes the Super Eagles and Super Falcons, Guardian writes.
According to the company, Oshoala, who plies her trade for Arsenal Ladies in the English Women Super League, “is a brand synonymous with dogged determination and loyalty with a sense of discipline that is unrivalled as she has never ever been reported to be involved in any scandal whatsoever throughout her short but very illustrious career.”
This new feather in Oshoala’s cap comes after she set up a foundation to help underprivileged kids, particularly the girl child, with a view to empower these kids and ensure that they attain good education and have other basic necessities of life.
The 2014 African Women footballer of the year also has an annual age-grade (Under-17) football competition for young girls who aspire to become professional footballers.
These kids, like many others across the continent, look up to her for inspiration and guidance in their chosen career path.
Oshoala will hope to help the Falcons defend their title when the African Women Nations Cup kicks off in Cameroon later this year.
