FG interacts with Startups, Techpreneurs

The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has urged the youths to embrace technology, stating that innovations and entrepreneurship is the way forward.

The VP made this call today during an official visit to Lagos to interact with Startups, Techpreneurs.

Prof. Osinbajo said “we are here to tour various places where innovation and technology thrives”, adding that “the future of Nigeria’s economy is in technology”.

Osinbajo pleadged 100% commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration to promote technological innovations.

The VP was accompanied by the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, the Chief Executive Officer/Director General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FBCS amongst others.

The delegation’s first point of call was Paystack, an online payment platform founded by Shola Akinlade, the next stop was at Andela, the entourage then moved to Flutterwave, a Statup that drives growth for bank and businesses, then to Farmcrowdy, a tech Startup that seeks to address challenges faced in the Agricultural sector, the next stop was African Fintech Foundary a company supported by Access bank that seeks to promote small scale businesses and Startups.

The last point of call was the Co-Creation hub in Yaba, Nigeria’s first technology incubation hub.
