Fight Corruption Fearlessly, Magu Charges Officers

The Ag. Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has charged his officers in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State office to fight corruption without any fear or intimidation. Magu spoke on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, when he paid an unscheduled visit to the zone.

It was his first official visit to the Uyo office of the Commission since the office took off in August 2017.

While speaking with Heads of Departments, Magu charged his staff not to spare anyone in the discharge of their duties; he however cautioned them to be professional and deal with cases that fall within the purview of the Commission’s mandate, not minding whose ox is gored. 

Magu made a brief stopover at the office of the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, CP. Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi Samuel, where he also met with the Assistant Commissioner of Police; ACP. Shehu Umar; ACP OP’s, Akoh Gabriel; DCP. Yekini Ayokun and DCP. SCIID, Chuks Nwachukwu.
