Force Commander ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission Decorates Newly Promoted Senior Officers
The Force Commander of the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission to the Republic of Guinea Bissau, Brigadier General Edward Odinya Ojabo, on Friday 16 September 2025, decorated newly promoted senior officers with their new ranks at the Headquarters of NIGCOY 4.
The officers decorated include: Capital M Usman and Captain TY Azi, to the Rank of Major While Lieutenant MA Olapade to the Rank of Captain.
In his remarks, Brigadier General Ojabo congratulated the newly promoted officers and reminded them that promotion comes from God and carries additional responsibilities.
The Force Commander further advised the officers to live within their means, exercise patience in life, and resist the temptation of rushing to acquire wealth, stressing the dangers associated with such pursuits. He encouraged them to remain diligent and dedicated in the discharge of their duties.
The ceremony was well attended by the Offices from the Force Headquarters and other Contingent.
