France Hosts First Ever Beard Championship “French Beard Championship”
This weekend witnessed the first French Beard Championship. It had 30 contestants vying for honours in 5 categories. There were contestants with beards of different shapes, shades and lengths.
Richard Palatchi, who had been growing his beard for three and a half years, won the audacious beard category while Julien Voeltzel won in the natural and over 20cm-long beard category.
Javor Mujicic won the Garibaldi beard category, Denis Pierre Cariou won the Best in Show category and Yohann Caton won the Verdi Beard category.
The organisers were able to get about 200 spectators in attendance and hope to expand the competition next year.
