Fuse ODG, Davido, Iyanya, Stonebwoy To Headline “Sounds From Africa” Stage @ SXSW ’16

After being named one of Rolling Stone’s “50 Best Things We Saw at SXSW 2015,” Sounds from Africa and Sounds from the Caribbean return to the SXSW Music Festival for a double-stage showcase at Palm Door on Sixth and Patio (508 E 6th St) on Saturday, March 19.

MMA (Music Moves Africa) Sounds from Africa, presented by W&R Projects, will be happening inside Palm Door on Sixth. This lineup features the return of recent Sony Music signing Davido, who graced the stage last year, plus exciting performances from Iyanya, Stonebwoy, K.O, Tekno, D black and The Compozers. Chart-topping artist, Fuse ODG will headline the African stage this year. The show will be hosted by British/Congolese Comedian Eddie Kadi with more music by some of Africa’s biggest DJs including BBC Radio 1xtra’s DJ Edu, DJ Neptizzle, DJ Tunez, DJ Cuppy and DJ Akuaa.

At Palm Door on Sixth Patio, Assassin ‘Agent Sasco’ headlines Sounds from the Caribbean, presented by W&R Projects and Irie Jam. The lineup also includes Kranium, who had the popular 2015 single “Nobody Has to Know,” plus Tanya Stephens, Cham, and newcomer Omari Banks.
