GEIDAM UPDATE : Uncertainty Persist as Communication is cut off

Uncertainty is the situation of things in Geida LG Yobe at the moment as telecommunication services has been cut off by the insurgents.

BH/ISWAP attacked all telco sites in the town and set it ablazed killing some of the guards in the process.

Although military and Police formations remains intact because of its fortification, same cannot be said of the civilian population as they could not neither reach out nor be reached.

Few residents who were able to make it out to other town this morning where communication is active are the only source of information available. The insurgents were said to be patrolling the streets of Geidam till this morning.
