GOC 1 Division Visits AFCSC, Seeks For Continuous Collaboration

The General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation “WHIRL PUNCH”, Major General MLD Saraso has seek for continuous collaboration and support with the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, Kaduna State. Maj Gen Saraso stated this during a courtesy visit to the Commandant AFCSC, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Idris Alhaji today 26 April, 2024.

Speaking during the visit, the GOC disclosed that his presence at the highly respected institution is to formally introduce himself to the Commandant, seek his blessings, continuous cooperation, support and to assure him of the Division’s continuous synergy. He thanked the Commandant for all his assistance and support to 1 Division Nigerian Army and expressed his gratitude to the host for accepting him and his entourage on a short notice with a warm reception.

In his response, the Commandant AFCSC AVM Alhaji appreciated the GOC for the visit, while thanking him for all the roles the Division has been playing in support of AFCSC. He commended the GOC for the Division’s recent successes in the fight against banditry, kidnapping and other crimes in the Division’s area of responsibility. Thereafter,
the Commandant congratulated the GOC on his recent appointment and wished him success during his tour of duty.

Highlights of the visit were inspection of quarter guard, signing of visitors book, exchange of souvenirs and group photographs.
