Documents obtained by NAIJ.com show financial recklessness by the current government of Anambra State with the state’s Governor Willie Obiano taking home a monthly N1 billion as security vote.

The documents which detailed all the bank accounts of Anambra State government and amount left in them as at the date former governor, Peter Obi handed over to the current administration, shows that Governor Willie Obiano collected about N25 billion since he assumed office in March 17, 2014, as his security vote. He receives N1 billion security vote every month. The documents also revealed that the Governor approved N5 billion for the celebration of his first 100 days in office amongst several other extravagant spending as detailed in the documents.

Efforts made by NAIJ.com to reach James Eze, media aide to Governor Willie Obiano to have government comments on the subject did not yield any result as his cell phone was not answered when he was contacted. As at the time of filling this report, he is yet to also reply text messages sent to him asking comments on the issue.
