Governor Mai Mala Buni Commends Military Operations In Yobe State

The Executive Governor of Yobe state, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, has Monday, 24 July 2023, commended the Commander Sector 2 Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), Major General MLD Saraso, on successful military operations in the state. The commendation came during the courtesy visit by The Executive Governor of Yobe State held at the Task Force Headquarters in Damaturu. Hon Mai Mala Buni appreciated the sacrifices, commitments and hard work of officers and soldiers of Headquarters Sector 2 for the restoration of peace in the state. The Governor further assured the commander of continuous support to the military in accomplishing its constitutional mandate.

Earlier in his remarks, the Commander Sector 2, Major General MLD Saraso, appreciated the State Government, stakeholders, and other security agencies for the cooperation given to the military in the fight against insurgency within the state. General Saraso reiterated that the Sector will continue to conduct military offensive operations to the insurgence hideouts and employ non-kinetics engagements with locals to win the hearts and minds of the general public. Highlights of the visit were the presentation of souvenirs and group photographs.
