‘The Greatest Rapper of All Time’- Snoop Dogg Pays Tribute to Tupac at #RockHall2017

Tupac Shakur has become the first solo rapper to be inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this honour was accepted on his behalf by Snoop Dogg.

Last night, the ceremony was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and some of the stars who came out to pay tribute to the late rapper include singer Alicia Keys and rapper TI.

Speaking at the event, Snoop Dogg recounted his relationship with the late rapper, how Tupac gave him his first blunt, and he called Tupac the ‘Greatest Rapper of All Time’.

While many of you remember him now as some kind of thugged-out superhero, Tupac knew he was only human. It’s a fact that he never shied away from—he wore it like a badge of honor,” Snoop said.

He continued, “Pac embraced those contradictions that proved that we aren’t just a character in someone else’s comic book. To be human is to be many things.”

Snoop Dogg moved many people while inducting his fellow West Coast legend. The two friends had been signed to Dr. Dre and Suge Knight’s Death Row Records. Also Snoop Dogg featured on the late legend‘s song ‘2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted’ before he was shot death on that fateful night of September 1996.

Pac proved we ain’t just a character out of someone else’s story book. To be human is to be many things at once,” Snoop said.

Now, Snoop Dogg who already has been crowned a legend, has inducted his friend, making Tupac Shakur the first solo rapper to be inducted into the prestigious hall of fame.
