He is Willing to Tell the Truth – Donald Trump Praises Kanye West After Jimmy Kimmel Interview
Donald Trump is so happy with Kanye West and has now taken to his Twitter to praise the rapper for defending him on Jimmy Kimmel.
In case you missed how the show went down: the rapper went mute when asked is Donald Trump, or any people at all, care about black people, but he returned again to defend his support for the American president, noting that people have been trying to get him not to like Trump.
“Just as a musician, African American, everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me and then told me that I couldn’t say that I like Trump,” Kanye said, and further added, “The mob can’t make me not love him.”
Asked about why he wore the MAGA hat, he said, “It represented overcoming fear and doing what you felt no matter what anyone said, and saying, ‘You can’t bully me.’ Liberals can’t bully me, news can’t bully me, the hip-hop community, they can’t bully me. Because at that point, if I’m afraid to be me, I’m no longer Ye. That’s what makes Ye.”
Reacting to the interview, Trump thanked Kanye for standing by his side. “Thank you to Kanye West and the fact that he is willing to tell the TRUTH,” Trump wrote.
See his tweet below.
Thank you to Kanye West and the fact that he is willing to tell the TRUTH. One new and great FACT – African American unemployment is the lowest ever recorded in the history of our Country. So honored by this. Thank you Kanye for your support. It is making a big difference!
