House of Reps Member Busted For ‘Endorsing’ Rape on Twitter
A Member of the House of Representatives, Herman Hembe, has been busted after sending out a tweet endorsing rape.
The tweet was first discovered by Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, who quickly drew the attention of the Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara, to it.
“This tweet is from a member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives,” Ogunlesi tweeted and not long after, the law maker immediately denied sending out such tweet from his handle.
See how it all happened:

I have no idea how that tweet came about. I have deleted it. That should bring closure to this unfortunate matter.@toluogunlesi

Recall that in June, Mr James Entwistle, the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, wrote a petition to the Speaker of the House of Representative, Hon Yakubu Dogara, stating that some members of the House of the Reps who visited the United States on an official programme, attempted to rape a hotel housekeeper, and that they also solicited for prostitutes.
While the scandal is yet to be resolved, many Nigerians wonder if the speaker, Yakubu Dogara will address the recent tweet.
