IG Of Police, Idris Arrives London Ahead Of SO15

On the invitation of the SO15 and pursuant to his efforts on crisis response engagements and desire to keep the public safe, IGP Ibrahim Idris has arrived in London for meetings with members of the counter terrorism command of the Scotland Yard.

The meetings are aimed at gaining insights into some of the works which the SO15 is involved in, as well as enhancing the collaboration that exists between the command and the Nigeria Police.The SO15 is a part of the Metropolitan Police Service Counter Terrorism Command, that works for the protection of London and the UK against the threat of terrorism.

Although terrorism is fast loosing tempo in Nigeria, as a result of the steadfastness of the Nigerian security, there are other challenges troubling the Nation, such as kidnapping for ransom, ethnic clashes and politically motivated murders.
