Jhene Aiko Files for Divorce From Nigerian Husband After 11 Months Of Marraige

Jhene Aiko has filed for the dissolution of her brief marriage to Nigerian music producer Dot Da Genius.

According to TMZ, the singer cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce and she reportedly has asked the judge to deny Dot spousal support.

Singer Jhene Aiko is the pulling the plug on her marriage to her producer/hubby Dot da Genius … and the timing is interesting.

Aiko and Dot were married for only 11 months. Jhene was recently linked to Big Sean. The two have been working together and this past June they made out in front of an Anaheim concert crowd.

Jhene’s asking the judge to deny Dot spousal support.

She’s listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup … that’s code for anything you want.

Recall that the duo kept their relationship away from the media until Aiko’s birthday in March, when the Nigerian-American producer whose real name is Oladipo Omishore shared a picture of their wedding to wish her a happy birthday.

Not long after the news was warmly received, rumours emerged that the marriage hit the rocks and all fingers pointed at Big Sean who the singer worked with on a collaborative album, TWENTY88.

Now, they are done.

Confirming this news on Twitter, Dot thanked fans for their well wishes. “I appreciate the love everyone,” he tweeted. “Now worries ok?”
