Kanye West Blasted for Requesting only Multiracial Models for Yeezy Fashion Show

Kanye West is currently under fire after he made an announcement that he would like multiracial women only in a casting call for his upcoming Yeezy Season 4 fashion show.

Kanye will be showcasing his collection on September 7 on the opening day of New York Fashion Week, so he decided to schedule a casting for the show in New York today. He took to his Twitter yesterday to announce the kind of women he wanted for the show.

“Season 4 Casting – Multiracial Women Only – No makeup please come as you are,” it read.

The tweet caused fans to react and Kanye suffered a backlash for requesting to see only mixed raced women. While some considered the casting conditions to be racist, others questioned how the father of two would be able to determine on the spot if someone was multiracial.
