There are reports that the structural stability test carried out on the properties in Lekki Gardens is ready.
Vanguard reports that Mr. Rasheed Balogun, who is the Acting General Manager of Lagos State Material Testing Laboratory (LSMTL) said the tests have been completed.
This is following the instruction issued by the Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode on March 15, 2016 for a test to be carried out.
On Tuesday, March 6, 2016, a five-storey building undergoing construction in Lekki Gardens collapsed, leaving 25 people dead.
Ambode immediately ordered that the construction site be sealed off, and other defective buildings in the estate be demolished.
The Chief Magistrate, of the Ebutte Metta Magistrate Court, Afolashade Botoku granted the Managing Director of Lekki Garden Homes, Robert Nyong bail on self-recognition.
Also, Taiwo Odofin, the contractor of the project was granted bail in the like sum of N10 million with two sureties in like sum.
