Let The Intervention Projects In Barracks Provoke Your Desire To Discharge Your Duties Wholeheartedly — GOC Charges Soldiers

The General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Joint Taskforce North West Operation HADARIN DAJI, Major General Godwin Micheal Mutkut has charged soldiers of 8 Division to reciprocate Army High Commands’ renovation efforts of accommodations in the Nigerian Army Barracks across the country by discharging their duties wholeheartedly. The GOC made this known during the commissioning ceremony of newly renovated 12 families Corporal Below Quarters at Giginya Barracks today in Sokoto.

The GOC further stated that the renovation of the structures was carried out under the Army Headquarters Special Projects which gives room for mitigating troops’ accommodation challenges in Nigerian Army Barracks across the country.

According to the GOC the need to pay attention to pay adequate attention to troops’ accommodation needs cannot be overemphasized as when troops and their families are well accommodated it will not only serve as morale booster but will increase the quest to achieving the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy which is ” To Transform the Nigerian Army into a well – trained, Equipped and Highly Motivated Force towards Achieving Our Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint Environment”, when they realized that the home fronts have been taken care of especially where it affects accommodation.

He therefore, used the opportunity offered by the ceremony to appreciate the COAS LT GEN Taoreed Lagbaja for his overwhelming support towards the completion of all intervention projects in Nigerian Army Barracks across the country.

The projects commissioned include 12 Blocks of 12 families of corporal below quarters that were renovated and fully furnished for the comfort of soldiers and their families.
