Magu Assures Nigerian Red Cross Society of EFCC’s Support
Ibrahim Magu, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has pledged support for the Red Cross Of Nigeria.
Magu gave this assurance on Thursday, March 29, 2018, while playing host to the executive members of the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), who were at the Commission’s headquarters, Abuja on a courtesy visit.
“This is the first time the NRCS has come to visit us since I assumed office almost two years ago.
“Here, we fight corruption. We are not scared to fight corruption because we have passion to fight corruption. Let them hear it.
“We will support you”, Magu said.
The anti-graft czar also promised partnership with the organization in training the staff of EFCC, in the area of first aid.
Earlier, Simeon Nwaubani, Executive Secretary, Red Cross, Federal Capital Territory, expressed the readiness of the organisation to partner EFCC in training the staff of the Commission in first aid.
“We are trying to partner with EFCC in the of first aid training. We have seen the kind of dangerous job you people do.
“We have been doing this with other organizations. The cost implication for this can be worked out later”, Nwaubani said.
He used the opportunity to highlight some of the challenges confronting the organisation and solicited support.
