Kiran Matharoo Who Blackmailed Otedola, Arrested After Fleeing Nigeria
One of the Matharoo sister – Kiran – who was accused of blackmailing Femi Otedola has been arrested again, this time she was whisked away by the police as she disembarked her plane in Venice, Italy.
According to Toronto Sun, the arrest of the Canadian sister is linked to their court case in Nigeria which the sisters left unresolved before fleeing back to their home country.
In case you don’t remember who they are: the sisters were arrested in 2016 following allegations that they are the owners of the notorious blog, Naijagist Live, which specialised in exposing rich, married Nigerian men having extramarital affairs. Some of their victims include Caroline Danjuma’s husband, Musa Danjuma, whom one of the sisters, Jyoti, allegedly dated.
But the sisters bit more than they could chew last year after they allegedly blackmailed Femi Otedola and threatened to leak all his affairs. The business mogul got the sisters arrested and they admitted on camera that they owned the blog.
However, while their case was still in court, the sisters fled Nigeria and for many months, no one knew where they were or even if they were alive, until they granted an interview, claiming that they were forced to admit blackmail.
That was all we heard of the case until Kiran was arrested in Italy and Toronto Sun says it is in connection with their court case in Nigeria.
Here’s what the newspaper said:
“Kiran Matharoo was nabbed as she disembarked a flight at Venice’s Marco Polo Airport. It’s believed the bust was related to alleged sex-tortion beefs against Kiran and her sister Jyoti in the Nigerian capital of Lagos.
Last December the well-dressed duo were jailed in Nigeria on allegations of blackmailing wealthy men with raunchy sex tapes. At one point it was estimated they had allegedly swindled 274 men. One of the alleged victims was oil billionaire Femi Otedola. The Canadian Kardashians have denied everything.”
