Messages/Banners Calling For Monetary Donations In Support Of NAOWA 25 Years Anniversary Fraudulent

The attention of 1 Division Nigerian Army has been drawn to the fraudulent activities of some dubious and criminally minded persons in its Area of Responsibility circulating messages, banners and fliers on social media seeking financial assistance for the less privileged and 10 km walk purportedly to celebrate the 25 years anniversary of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA). This is basically the activities of a fraudulent syndicate with the intention of scamming unsuspecting citizens of their hard earned resources and other valuables.

The general public is therefore advised to disregard the messages, fliers, banners and calls for financial assistance by these criminals as it does not emanate from NAOWA or any of its Chapters. Additionally, the general public is kindly requested to report such criminal elements and their activities to the Nigerian Army and other relevant security agencies for arrest and possible prosecution.
