Mexican Reality TV Star Alejandro ‘Jano’ Fuentes Shot Dead After Celebrating His Birthday
A top Mexican reality TV star Alejandro ‘Jano’ Fuentes was shot dead outside his Chicago studio hours after celebrating his 45th birthday.
Fuentes was reportedly sitting in his car when the gunman ambushed him.
According to Daily Mail:
“Police said Fuentes was in a vehicle with a passenger when a man with a gun walked up and told him to get out of the car.
Fuentes at first resisted a couple of times but when the gunman pulled out the gun he tried to protect his friend by getting out of the car, according to ABC7.
The gunman then shot him anyway shortly after 10pm in the city’s Brighton Park neighborhood.”
According to reports, Fuentes was then rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he fought briefly for his life before giving up the ghost. The unidentified gunman fled on foot before getting into a nearby car, according to NBC.
Fuentes competed in the Mexico’s version of The Voice. The Chicago police have been unable to arrest any suspect although they are trying to establish whether the shooting was an attempted car jacking or robbery.
