Missing Hausa Musician Who Released Anti-Corruption Song Has Allegedly Been Found Unconscious

Top Adamawa State-based singer Ado Daukaka, who was declared missing after releasing an anti-corruption album, has been reportedly found.

Popular Hausa blog, Rariya shared the news on their Facebook page today and according to them, the Hausa musician was found unconscious and is presently receiving treatment at  the Lamurde Health Center in Adamawa. For now, there are no reports as to exactly how and when the singer was found.

Daukaka went missing last week Saturday after he left his house for early morning prayers. His family claims the All Progressives Congress (APC) was behind his disappearance, stating that he had been abducted because he called out the party in his single, ‘Gyara kayanka’, where he accused some elected politicians of the ruling party of deceiving the electorate.

Mr. Daukaka came to limelight during the reign of former Adamawa state Governor, Murtala Nyako because of his popular praise song for the former governor, Baba mai mangoro ndottijon arziki.
