The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has bombarded Boko Haram locations on the outskirts of Malkonori, Northern Borno State.

The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Group Capt. Ayodele Famuyiwa, on Tuesday, November 15, disclosed this in a statement.

Famuyiwa stated that the latest attack was a follow-up to the close air support operation that repelled the insurgents who attacked ground forces at Kangarwa.

He said: “Survivors among the insurgents have fled to Dogochuku, where they were also attacked by NAF fighter aircraft and forced to relocate to Malkonori.

“Ground forces confirmed that a number of the insurgents were killed and their vehicle destroyed, from the latest air strike at Malkonori.”

NAF fighter aircraft had on November 7 repelled an attack by the insurgents on ground troops at Kangarawa, Northern Borno.
