NASEME Commandant Assures Stakeholders Of Enhanced Synergy and Continuous Support As Auchi Police Command and Polytechnic Governing Council Pays Familiarization Visits

The Commandant Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME), Major General Oladele Arogundade has reaffirmed his commitment in strengthening partnership and collaboration between NASEME and other government institutions in Auchi, Edo State. Maj Gen Arogundade made this known while hosting the newly appointed Area Commander of the Auchi Police Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Lawrence Ajidahun at the school headquarters on 23 July, 2024.

ACP Ajidahun who was accompanied by the Divisional Police Officer CSP Ehis Moses, thanked the Commandant for the warm reception accorded to them. Recounting the operational support enjoyed by the Police, the Area Commander expressed immense appreciation to the Commandant and further sought a robust operational jointness and intelligence sharing.

Equally, a team of academics from Auchi Polytechnic Governing Council led by the newly appointed Chairman, Prof. Jonathan Ayuba also paid a familiarization visit to the Commandant having been inaugurated by the Commander in Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on July 4, 2024 to improve the education sector and re-engineer the governance structure of Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Prof Ayuba thanked the school management for their unending support to Auchi Polytechnic while calling for academic and practical collaboration in the areas of Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Advanced Welding and Fabrication, as well as Mechanical Engineering.

Speaking during the visit, the Rector Auchi Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Umar, underlined the importance of a formal Academic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NASEME and the Polytechnic, emphasizing that such an agreement would foster mutual ties and bridge knowledge gaps through the integration of academic and practical skills

In his remarks, Maj Gen Arogundade congratulated the duo on their recent appointments and further assured them of his commitment and dedication in supporting them. While addressing the Council members, he stated that NASEME will create a platform for knowledge sharing and research between the Schools as well as work towards the facilitation of the MOU.

Also, speaking with the Area Commander, Gen Arogundade pledged his commitment and support in ensuring adequate steps are taken to have a safe and secure Auchi where peace and unity will continue to thrive.
