New Delta State Commissioner Of Police Visits 63 Brigade, Seeks Sustained Collaboration

The newly posted Commissioner of Police (Compol), Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi has today 27 April 2026 paid a courtesy visit to the Commander, 63 Brigade/Sector 1, Joint Task Force, South South, Operation DELTA SAFE (OPDS), Brigadier General Moronfolu Abdulmoshood Shonibare, at Headquarters 63 Brigade, Asaba.

Speaking, during the visit, the Compol stated that the visit was aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration and operational synergy with the Brigade. He maintained that it will enhance effective policing and overall security across the State. CP Oyeniyi further emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation through timely intelligence sharing and joint operational strategies among security agencies in the state. He particularly highlighted the need to address security challenges around the riverine and coastal areas.

In his response, the Commander 63 Brigade, Brigadier General Shonibare warmly welcomed the Compol and his team to Headquarters 63 Brigade. He reassured of the Brigade’s readiness to sustained close collaboration with all security agencies in the state, particularly, the Nigeria Police Force. He assured the Compol of support in crime prevention, maintenance of public order and the protection of lives and property within Delta State.

Brigadier Shonibare stressed that inter-agency cooperation and collaboration remains a critical pillar of effective security management. He pledged continuous engagement and sensitization to strengthen the existing security architecture in Delta State.
