Nicki Minaj Launches App That Will Let Fans Record Their Own Rap and Win Awards
Nicki Minaj has just launched an app that will allow her fans record their own rap and win special awards from her, Billboard reports.
The app, which is called Nicki Minaj: The Empire, has been released on iTunes and Google Play Store, and this comes a year after she hinted at the project.
Billboard adds that unlike other apps, fans who work hard can climb up to the rank of a super celebrity and record their own rhymes. The app was built by same company that development Kim Kardashian incredulously successful app, and also that of Britney Spears and Katy Perry.
But what’s different in this experimental project is what the app comes equipped with; a function that helps write your lyrics. Also, users get to rap over in-game beats, even Minaj’s own songs.
Speaking about the app, here’s what Minaj said:
“My favorite part of the game is obviously when my amazing fans get to rap with me. I think is the one thing they would never have expected for me to add into my game. The first time I played it and I recorded a rap, I felt like a kid on Christmas.”
“It’s something that I would have loved to have when I was starting to rap. It’s something that will definitely build your skills and get you heard by a lot of people. I’m very excited to hear the raps my fans are going to upload. I know it’s going to be fun, I know there are some people who are actually going to be good and that’s also interesting and inspiring.”
