Nigeria Army on Thursday repelled a Boko Haram/ISWAP attack on Damasak Mobbar local government area in Yobe State.
Intelligence gathered that when the jihadists attacked at about 6:00 pm, the gallant Nigerian Army responding with superior firepower won the battle with collaboration with air support who attacked the terrorists with Mi35 chopper, 2 Alpha jets and a drone.
Scores of terrorists lost their lives including a top ISWAP field commander. Three vehicles were destroyed including two belonging to an international Non-governmental organisation.
