Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Saturday said the Nigerian Air Force had commenced the setting up of a base in the state.
Oyetola also said Air Force would be establishing a School of Basic and Remedial Studies in Osun through its Airforce Institute of Technology.
The governor, who disclosed this in his third anniversary broadcast on Saturday, further noted that his administration was leveraging purposeful partnerships to provide key infrastructural needs for the state.
According to him, his administration’s collaborative efforts, through the state Ministry of Works and Transport and the Nigerian Air Force, towards developing the Ido-Osun Airport Corridor is yielding positive results.
He said, “Thankfully, our collaborative efforts, through our Ministry of Works and Transport and the Nigerian Airforce, is yielding positive results towards developing the Ido-Osun Airport Corridor.
“Work has already commenced for the setting up of Air Force Base in our dear state. Among other things, this base will house a research centre, Air Force barracks and a hanger.”
