Nigerian Army Hosts Students Of Armed Forces Command and Staff College

Headquarters 1 Division Nigerian Army(NA) has today 18 September 2023 hosted students of Senior Course 46 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College(AFCSC) Jaji at the 2 Battalion Training Shed/ Parade Ground. A total of 262 students, including allied students from Ghana, Tanzania, Lesotho, Cameroon and the Republic of Liberia were among the visiting students.

The General Officer Commanding 1 Division NA, Maj Gen VU Okoro welcomed the staff and students to the Premier Division of the NA and used the opportunity to reaffirm the existing relationship between AFCSC and the Division.

Gen Okoro added that the students should consider themselves privileged for going through this middle career level course that is meant to develop their professional knowledge and prepare them for increasing responsibilities for both staff and command appointments.

The GOC further stated that the Division would continue to render necessary support to the AFCSC by providing requisite support for their field exercises and other task that may be required of them and added that the static display showcased the Division capability and combat readiness.

He commended the Commandant, Deputy Comdt, Directors and other staff for sustaining the high standard which the College is known for.

The representative of the students Lieutenant Commander MW Kpuduk in his vote of thanks, appreciated the GOC 1 Division NA for the reception and conducive for the students.

Highpoints of the event were lecture on the operational activities of the Division, static display /demonstration, exchange of souvenirs and group photograph.
