Nigerian Army To Strengthen Ties With Traditional Institutions As Operation Hadin Kai Commander Visits Shehu Of Borno

The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Gold Chibuisi, 31 July, 23 visited His Royal Highness (HRH) (Dr) Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-Kanemi the Shehu Of Borno at his palace in Maiduguri the Borno State Capital.

On arrival, the Theatre Commander and members of his entourage were warmly received by the Monarch and Members of the Borno State Traditional Council.

Speaking during the visit, General Chibuisi stated that having taken over command responsibility of OPHK on 13th July 2023, he deem it necessary to visit His Royal Highness so as to seek for his Royal Blessings as well as sought the support of the traditional institution in order to win the hearts and minds of the good people of Borno state and environs in the ongoing Operations in the North East.

The TC thereafter assured the Shehu of OPHK commitments to end the menace of the remnant marauding elements of the terrorists within the state.

Responding, the Shehu commended the leadership of OPHK for their resilience and doggedness in the ongoing Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Operations in the NE.

Additionally, the Royal Father also assures the Theatre Commander OPHK of the maximum support and cooperation of Borno State Traditional Council. He disclosed that the doors of the palace is always open for the Theatre Commander for any support, cooperation and guidance.
