Nigerian Comedian Faces Major Backlash After Encouraging Rape In New Video

Many Nigerians have taken to social media to school upcoming comedian Baba de Baba after he made a skit encouraging female rape.

From the short video, the comedian resisted arrest after he forcefully penetrated a female, his reason being that she willingly paid him a visit and shared a bed with him. “It is not rape,” he said. “It is fornication.”

“If you cannot sleep with a man, don’t go to his house,” the upcoming act continued, driving the point home on why he would rape a woman.

Not long after he shared the skit, Nigerians on social media trooped to his page to not only call him out, but to also school him on the culture of consent. But Baba de Baba refused to back down.

“If you can visit a guy and stay over, you should be able to sleep with him because he is not your brother. If you are too responsible to have sex, stay in your father’s house,” he insisted.

Seeing how adamant he remained, a female rape survivor carefully explained why he, an upcoming act with sizable followership, should first understand what rape is before speaking about it. She added that she had reported his video, hence why the social media platform took it down.
