Nigerian Finance Minister Roughened up by Representatives

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, appeared before the House of Representatives committee on Finance to brief it on the state of Nigeria’s economy but the briefing turned bad when the Minister was refused audience. Arguments ensued between Hon. Jibril Abdulmumin and the Minister of Finance after Abdulmumin refused to let the minister, who said she was ill, give a report on the state of Nigeria’s economy.
Okonjo-Iweala, though ill, said she could brief the house but the lawmaker insisted she should return and brief the committee on another date.
