Nigerian Man Bayo Anoworin Named Amongst UK’s 10 Most Wanted Alleged Con Artists
The police has released names of the most wanted UK con artists; alleged fraudsters who are currently on the run for various fraud-related crimes, and the list includes a Nigerian man, 41-year-old Bayo Anoworin.
According to Guardian UK:
“Bayo Lawrence Anoworin, 41, from Lagos, Nigeria, who is wanted by Lincolnshire police over an alleged scam by a gang that stole more than £12m from NHS trusts in the UK and Guernsey between January 2011 and July 2012.“
The publication adds that the list was released as prelude to the annual crime figures which will include “a full year of fraud and cybercrime for the first time.”
Another alleged con artists who made the list in addition to Bayo Anoworin, is Bollywood film producer Sandeep Arora, who allegedly “claimed £4.5m in VAT and film tax rebates for movies that either did not exist or with which he had no involvement“.
This comes weeks after Nigerian-born accountant and preacher Samuel Kayode was charged to court and sentenced to 9 years in jail following accusations that he defrauded a leading UK school chain of £4million, in a case that has been described as “Britain’s biggest education fraud.” You can read about Samuel Kayode
