Nigerian Navy Leads Major Anti-Oil Theft Operation, Intercepts 3 Tankers

The Nigerian Navy, in collaboration with Joint Task Force South South Operation Delta Safe, intercepted and arrested 3 vessels-MT MKPODU, MT WESTAF, and MT STELIOS K-suspected of crude oil theft within the Calabar/Akwa Ibom maritime area, with key support from NNS SHERE, NNS OSE, and NN’S GONGOLA.

The operation, reinforced by naval air assets and Forward Operating Base IBAKA, underscores intensified efforts to combat economic sabotage and safeguard Nigeria’s critical oil infrastructure.
