
Nigerian Police Academy Holds First Ever Convocation Ceremony, Commissions IGP Kayode Egbetokun Multipurpose Hall
In a landmark event, the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, today held its Combined Convocation Ceremony for the Regular Courses 1–7 officers, alongside the official commissioning of the newly constructed 1000-seater IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun multipurpose Hall.
The commissioning was performed by the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Anuma Ogbonnaya Nnia, The Inspector General of Police was represented by DIG Sadiq Abubakar in charge of the Force CID, who is also the 23rd Commandant of the Academy.
The 24th Commandant, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, MSc, MBA, psc, MSPSP, led the Academy’s management team in welcoming dignitaries and stakeholders to the historic occasion.
The convocation ceremony was colorful, well-organized, and conducted in a hitch-free manner, marking a significant milestone in the academic and professional development of the cadets. The event reflects the Academy’s dedication to excellence under the visionary leadership of the Inspector General of Police.
