Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission Launches Project One Million Barrels per Day Project

On Monday 21 October 2024, the Chief of the Naval Staff joined other notable dignitaries at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja to celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and mark the launch of the One Million Barrels per Day Project.

The Special Guest of Honour was the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ably represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume. Other dignitaries present were the the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas) Senator Ekperipe Ekpo, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Mele Kolo Kyari, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NUPRC Gbenga Olu Komolafe, CEOs & MDs of International Oil Companies (IOCs) and National Oil Companies (NOCs).

The occasion was an opportunity for renewal of the whole of government approach to protecting and harnessing Nigeria’s oil resources for the common good.
