NISS STRATEGY ON NETWORK BUILDING YIELDING POSITIVE RESULTS

The network building strategy embarked upon by the leadership of the National Institute for Security Studies has begun yielding remarkable results.

One of such is the much-anticipated partnership between the Institute and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC in the fight against corruption which would soon become a reality under the able leadership of Alhaji A.S Adeleke, Commandant, National Institute for Security Studies.

On Thursday, March 18, Alhaji Adeleke led a delegation on a courtesy and network building visit to the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The visit was fruitful as the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdurasheed Bawa promised to partner with NISS to build an intelligence-driven Commission.

Bawa said: “We are always very happy to receive people from institutions of learning, the EFCC is a very young organization, we are the most cosmopolitan agency in the country because of the composition of the board.
Our core values are courage, leadership and partnership. We need partners to come and add value, we will accept the partnership and we will streamline how that partnership will work.”.

Alhaji A.S Adeleke promised that the institute would provide necessary assistance to help the EFCC achieve its objective as regards the department of Directorate of Intelligence.
“Why we are concentrating on security and intelligence is because security is central to development. We are here to partner with the EFCC in Networking, Partnership and due-diligence, we can also incorporate many other areas,” Adeleke said.
