
NNS Beecroft Hands Over 4,000 litres Of Suspected AGO To NSCDC
On Thursday, 16 October 2025, the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT handed over 4,000 litres of product suspected to be Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) to officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command.
The product was intercepted in the early hours of Saturday, 11 October 2025, by NNS BEECROFT patrol team stationed at Tarkwa Bay. The interception occurred around the Atlas Cove general area with the support of the Western Regional Control Centre, popularly known as the Falcon Eye Alignment.
According to reports, the suspects abandoned the fibre boat conveying the product and fled upon sighting the naval patrol team. The prompt action of NNS BEECROFT underscores the Nigerian Navy’s sustained efforts in combating illegal bunkering and other maritime crimes within its Area of Operations.
