Oludare Kadiri, the Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly has been impeached.
Kadiri, who represented Ijebu-North at the State Assembly was impeached after a five-member committee set up by the House found him culpable of alleged public disturbance and recommended him for impeachment.
Recall that on February 26, the Ogun State Police arrested Hon Kadiri for an alleged assault after reportedly leading thugs to invade the residence of Tokunbo Talabi, who is the Secretary to the State Government during the revalidation exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Intelligence gathered that 18 out of 26 lawmakers assented to Kadiri’s removal.
