Operation Hadin Kai Reaffirms Commitment To Troops’ Welfare, Investigates Viral Video Claims

Headquarters Operation HADIN KAI has noted with concern a viral video circulated by Mark Chidebere Justice, popularly known as “Justice Crack,” alleging inadequate feeding of troops, as well as the manner in which Reuben Abati of Arise News televison appeared to have drawn conclusions on the matter, thereby amplifying unverified information without recourse to established facts.

The military authority wishes to state unequivocally that the welfare of its personnel, including adequate and nutritious feeding, remains a top priority and a critical component of operational effectiveness. The claims made in the video are currently being carefully reviewed to ascertain their authenticity, context and relevance.

Preliminary observations indicate that the video does not provide verifiable details of the photographs, such as the location, unit, date, or identities of the individuals allegedly involved. Consequently, a thorough verification process has commenced to determine the source of the images and information, establish the timeframe within which the footage was recorded and confirm whether the individuals depicted are indeed serving personnel.

While the military acknowledges the prevailing economic challenges in the country, including inflationary pressures affecting all sectors, deliberate measures have consistently been implemented to ensure that troops are adequately catered for within available resources. These measures include sustained improvements in rationing systems, strengthened logistics support and periodic review of welfare provisions in line with operational realities.

The military remains committed to transparency and accountability and should any lapses be identified in the course of ongoing checks, appropriate corrective actions will be taken promptly. Members of the public are therefore encouraged to rely on verified information and refrain from spreading unsubstantiated claims capable of undermining the morale of troops and ongoing operations in defence of the nation.

OPHK will continue to keep the public informed as necessary.
