Operation Hadin Kai: Theatre Commander Inaugurates General Court Martial, Charges Court On Professionalism

The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Gold Chibuisi has today, 9 August 2023, charged Members of the General Court Martial to remain highly professional in the dispensation of justice and avoid any act that will undermine the transparent nature of the court.

The Theatre Commander who was represented by the Deputy Theatre Commander, Maj Gen OM Bello gave this charge during the inauguration of the Theatre Command General Court Martial set up to try cases of alleged professional misconduct by troops of OPHK.

While inaugurating the Court, the TC charged the court to uphold justice and fair hearing as well as hasten the dispensation of justice in line with global best practices, as ‘justice delayed is justice denied’, he added.

The hitch free event was attended by the Court President, Brig Gen HA Gambo; the Judge Advocate, Members of the Court, Commanders and Principal Staff Officers of OPHK, Prosecuting and Defence Council, Accused personnel, Officers and men of OPHK.
