
Pakistan Navy Staff Course 55 Visits Western Naval Command
On Wednesday, 4 February 2026, participants of the 55th Pakistan Navy Staff Course paid a study visit to the Headquarters Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos, to strengthen professional ties and maritime cooperation with the Nigerian Navy. The delegation was led by Commodore Mohammed Zahid Zaheer and accompanied by the Pakistan Defence Attaché, Colonel Kamran Mushtaq.
The visitors were briefed on the mandate and operations of the Western Naval Command, including maritime security and inter-agency collaboration. The study tour also featured guided tours of the Falcon Eye and Regional Maritime Awareness Capability Centres, as well as Nigerian Navy Ship KADA, while highlighting both navies shared commitment to maritime security and cooperation. The Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Abubakar Abdullahi Mustapha, described the visit as a valuable platform for professional exchange and mutual learning, reaffirming the Nigerian Navy’s commitment to cooperation with friendly navies.
