Peter Okoye Signs Rapper DJ Switch to His Record Label, P-Classic
Peter Okoye has finally unveiled the female singer signed to his P-Classic record label.
Recall, both Peter and Paul Okoye floated separate record labels during the heat of their family drama in 2016. Last week, the other half of P-square excitedly announced on his Instagram that he has signed his first female artiste, keeping her identity a mystery.
“For guys only…. New Video Shoot for PClassic 1st Female Act…. soon to be Unveiled wait for it” he wrote.
Today, Peter took to his Instagram to reveal the female artiste to be rapper and Glo X-Factor winner, DJ Switch. He also shared that her new single and video will be dropping tomorrow. Switch, whose real name is Obianuju Catherine Udeh, will be joining Kaffy’s husband Pappy J who was signed to P-classic last year.
DJ Switch, who has been in the music industry for years, first got her big break in 2009 as a member of Da Pulse. The group won the 2009 edition of the STAR QUEST music talent show and they went on to release their first single So Tey. The song was a massive hit and the group later dropped a remix with American superstar Busta Rhymes before they split.
In 2013, Switch was named the winner of the Glo X-Factor show. She went home with 24million and a Sony Music record deal. The 33-year-old rapper has since been focused on her passion for disc jockeying and is also the official DJ of P-square.
