PFN organises special prayer over kidnapping, killings

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has expressed concerns over the unabated kidnapping and killings in many parts of the country.

It, therefore, declared a two-day prayer intercessory project to seek God’s face to deliver the country from security and economic challenges.

The National President, PFN, Bishop Wale Oke, said this during a press briefing in Abeokuta, Ogun Statel.

Oke said the special prayer, slated for September 14 and 15, was aimed at ensuring that Nigeria was not surrendered to enemies, who want to cut her destiny short.

Oke, who was represented by the Project Coordinator, Bishop Oyonude Kure, said Governor Dapo Abiodun, traditional rulers and heads of government across Nigeria would converge on Abeokuta for the prayer project.

Oke added that youths as well as the management of all the tertiary institutions across the country would also be part of the special prayer.

He said “It is the collective vision of the church that there should be massive intervention. Our primary assignment is to safe Nigeria; we believe in the powers of prayers and fasting; and so, we are of the strong conviction that with God, all things are possible.

“The PFN, under our National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, believes that it is better for us, the church, the good people of Nigeria and God-fearing people of Nigeria to pay the price of peace than pay the price of war. That Nigeria will not go to war and by the mercies and grace of God Nigeria will be saved. That is the whole essence of this programme on September 14 and 15, 2021.”
