The Ondo State Police Command has rescued a Naval Officer who was kidnapped in Ago Ajayi village at the Ikare-Owo Expressway, Akoko North East Local Government Area of the state.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Undie Adie disclosed this in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, on Wednesday.

Lieutenant Commander Ajare Uchegbulah Amadi was rescued following an aggressive manhunt launched by the Police and other sister agencies for the abductors.

According to him, when the abductors realized there was no place to hide any longer; they abandoned their victim in the forest and fled.

He also warned travelers to strictly adhere to the interstate movement ban imposed by the Federal Government because miscreants are taking advantage of the empty roads to commit nefarious activities.
